Router bashing on hold (for now anyway)

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Have been mighty annoyed with my wireless router (D-Link DGL-4300) for a while now because it keeps dropping the wireless connections whenever there are a moderately high traffic trough the wires.

Today I finally tested to disable the Traffic shaping altogether. It seems that did the trick. Much more responsive now even if I get a peak of bit-torrent-traffic running trough the wire. Can’t believe I didn’t tried that option before.

Now it’s just the old grudge left. Why the heck would one put a large flash-logo on the top of an administration-interface and why make that interface dependant on javascript? Sometimes it would be sweet to connect with something like lynx but that’s unfortunately not an option.

Ok, so what’s this, another blog? But why?!?

Well I’ve had this domain and just used it for email for a long time. Time to put something up I recon. Anyway, hopefully there will be some interesting posts about programming, computer hardware / software, iPhone software and possibly some grumblings about why it’s not motorcycle season.
